Webinar Description:
Driver mutations and therapeutic escape variants could provide invaluable treatment options if they could be detected early in circulating cell-free DNA. A multimarker detection method capable of detecting these rare variants enables identification for initiation and proliferation in primary tumors and as a noninvasive method for early detection of metastasis. This seminar will detail MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry using the UltraSEEK method on the MassARRAY System and its ability to detect low level mutations in clinical research specimens.
Learning Objectives:
- Rationale for targeted profiling at high sensitivity for clinical and translational research
- Tumor vs. circulating cell-free DNA studies
- Research-use panels available on the MassARRAY System
- Methods to design patient-specific panels
