GlaxoSmithKline has performed some acquisitions over the last 10 years that have been varied in terms of their size and scope. We have attempted to learn from each experience and develop a process for assessing and integrating pipelines and alliances present in the acquired company. How this is done will depend in part on the structure and strategic intent of the acquisition. The presentation will describe the process (and associated learnings) used to assess, manage, transition and integrate the various alliance opportunities stemming from acquisitions.
